Welcome to RUNNR

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RUNNR's mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use RUNNR.

1. Eligibility

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use RUNNR. If you're between 13 and 17, you represent that you have permission from your parent or legal guardian.

Account Accuracy

You must provide accurate, current information when creating your account. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

One Account Per Person

You may only create one account. Don't share your account or let others use your credentials.

2. Description of Services

RUNNR is an AI-powered running coach that provides:

  • Personalized training plans tailored to your goals, fitness level, and schedule
  • Adaptive coaching that adjusts based on your performance and feedback
  • Activity tracking and progress analytics
  • Motivational content and guidance
  • Integration with third-party fitness apps and devices
  • Calendar syncing for workout scheduling

RUNNR is a coaching tool, not medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have health concerns.

3. User Responsibilities

Safe & Responsible Use

You agree to:

  • Use RUNNR safely and responsibly
  • Follow traffic laws and be aware of your surroundings when running
  • Listen to your body and not push beyond safe limits
  • Consult a doctor if you experience pain, injury, or health concerns
  • Not rely solely on RUNNR for medical or health decisions

RUNNR provides fitness coaching, not medical advice. We're not responsible for injuries or health issues that arise from your training.

Accurate Information

Provide honest, accurate information about your:

  • Fitness level and running experience
  • Health conditions and injuries
  • Goals and preferences
  • Workout completion and how you're feeling

The more accurate your input, the better your coaching experience.

Account Security

You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure
  • Any activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

4. Subscription & Payment

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you'll be automatically charged for a subscription.

Subscription Plans

RUNNR offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually. Pricing and features are described in the app and on our website.

Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You'll be charged through your App Store or Google Play account.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime:

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → RUNNR → Cancel
  • Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions → RUNNR → Cancel

Canceling stops future charges but doesn't provide a refund for the current billing period. You'll retain access until the end of your paid period.

Refunds

All sales are final. Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies. We don't issue direct refunds except where required by law.

Price Changes

We may change subscription prices. We'll notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. Continued use after the price change means you accept it.

5. Your Content & Data

Content You Create

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to RUNNR (activities, photos, comments, messages, etc.).

License to RUNNR

By using RUNNR, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Store, process, and analyze your content to provide the Services
  • Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve RUNNR (e.g., "85% of users improve their 5K time")
  • Display your content back to you in the app

We will NOT:

  • Share your personal activities publicly without your consent
  • Sell your content to third parties
  • Use your content for advertising beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Cheat or manipulate: Don't fake activities, spoof GPS data, or manipulate your metrics
  • Reverse engineer: Don't attempt to access our source code or underlying technology
  • Scrape or crawl: Don't use bots or automated tools to access RUNNR
  • Violate laws: Don't use RUNNR for illegal purposes
  • Harm others: Don't harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Compromise security: Don't attempt to hack, breach, or compromise our systems
  • Resell the Services: RUNNR is for personal use only
  • Impersonate others: Don't pretend to be someone else

Violation may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Third-Party Integrations

RUNNR integrates with third-party apps and devices (Apple Health, Google Fit, Strava, Garmin, etc.).

  • Your choice: Integrations are optional
  • Third-party terms apply: Each service has its own terms and privacy policy
  • We're not responsible: RUNNR isn't liable for issues with third-party services
  • Disconnect anytime: You can remove integrations in your settings

8. Intellectual Property

RUNNR's Rights

All intellectual property in the Services (software, design, logos, content, AI models, etc.) is owned by RUNNR or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any ownership rights.

Trademarks

"RUNNR," our logo, and related marks are trademarks. You can't use them without our permission.

Copyright

All content we create (training methodologies, coaching guidance, app design) is protected by copyright. Don't copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

9. AI Coaching & Limitations

AI Technology

RUNNR uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide coaching. Our AI:

  • Learns from thousands of running resources and coaching methodologies
  • Adapts to your individual performance and feedback
  • Provides personalized recommendations

Limitations & Disclaimers

AI is a tool, not a replacement for human judgment:

  • AI can make mistakes or provide suboptimal recommendations
  • Always listen to your body and use common sense
  • Consult professionals (doctors, physical therapists, certified coaches) for serious concerns
  • We don't guarantee specific results (e.g., you'll run a sub-4-hour marathon)

We're constantly improving: Our AI evolves over time. Features and recommendations may change as we learn and improve.

10. Disclaimers & Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

Services Provided "AS IS"

RUNNR is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. This includes:

  • No guarantee of results: We don't promise you'll achieve specific fitness goals
  • No guarantee of accuracy: Activity data, GPS tracking, and coaching may contain errors
  • No guarantee of uptime: Services may be interrupted for maintenance or technical issues
  • No guarantee of compatibility: RUNNR may not work with all devices or third-party apps

No Medical Advice

RUNNR IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE OR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER. We provide fitness coaching, not medical advice. We don't diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before:

  • Starting a new exercise program
  • Making significant changes to your training
  • If you experience pain, injury, or unusual symptoms

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

RUNNR and its affiliates are NOT LIABLE for:

  • Injuries or health issues arising from your use of RUNNR
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (lost profits, data loss, etc.)
  • Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim

This applies even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Termination

By You

You can stop using RUNNR and delete your account anytime in Settings → Account → Delete Account.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • We're required to by law
  • We discontinue the Services (with reasonable notice)

Effect of Termination

When your account is terminated:

  • Your access to RUNNR ends immediately
  • Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy (within 45 days)
  • You remain responsible for any charges incurred before termination

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you:

  • Via email to your registered address
  • Through an in-app notification
  • By posting a notice on our website

Continued use of RUNNR after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.
